I hope everyone had a great
break. We are all ready to finish up our last quarter.
Graduation
Ceremonies
We want to take this
opportunity to commend all our graduating seniors. Our graduation ceremony
will be July 17 at 10:00 am at Brookhaven Country Club. Congratulations to
McKenzie Blankenship, Dominic DiBene, Travis Gilbreath, Blake Harris, Jay
Jensen, Josh Villarreal, and Tom Wilkinson.
Senior
Prom
Our Senior Prom will be held
next Thursday at Brookhaven Country Club from 8 to 12. Tickets are on sale
and cost $25.00 per person.
Parent volunteers are welcomed.
Attendance at
Graduation Ceremonies
I hope all our high school
students will be able to attend this exciting event. We will provide as
much transportation as possible, but will need additional drivers. If you
can volunteer, please contact Veronica.
Senior
Cruise
The junior/senior cruise was
quite a success. Thanks to Kevin Stagg for his work in organizing and to
all the chaperones that went.
Beach
Trip
Thanks for yet another fabulous
beach trip! We had a great time swimming, shelling, beaching and catching sharks and enjoyed
the kids immensely!
Taos
Trip
Remember that R&R
Adventures is offering our 7th annual Taos Trip. We are
traveling to Taos,
NM August 20th
through the 26th. If you have any questions or need a form,
please see Russ or Becky. Forms are due now so sign up
soon!
Financial Aid
The committee will be meeting
soon to distribute scholarships.
They will be announced next week.
2008-09 Calendars
Next year’s calendar is on the
web site (vanguardprepschool.com). We will distribute hard copies at final
parent conferences and they will also be included in your back to school
packets.
Class
Lists
We are still working on class
lists, middle school and high school schedules. The class lists will be
distributed at the last parent conference for the lower school and home
room assignments for middle and high school. Middle and high school
schedules will be distributed at meet the teacher night in August.
