I hope that everyone
had a safe and happy 4th! We are gearing
up for our final days of school! I want to thank all our students,
their families and our dedicated teachers for a very successful
year.
Scholarships
The Scholarship
Committee has awarded scholarships for next year. We hope that this
will ease finances for some. We had much less money to award this
year than in years past. All scholarships are need based.
Final
Exams
Middle School and High
School final exams will be Monday and Tuesday July 12 and 13.
Students will have two days to complete exams in class.
Middle School
Graduation Ceremonies
We will honor our
students who have completed 8th grade at a Graduation
Ceremony in our gym, July 12 at 10:00 am. See you
there!
Senior Capping
Ceremony
The capping ceremony to
honor our graduating seniors will be held in the gym at 12:45pm.

We want to honor our
Valedictorian, Andy Terrell and our Salutatorian, Chris Schubert.
These two young men have worked so diligently and achieved at the
highest level. We are
honored to have had them be a part of our Vanguard
family!
Graduation
Ceremony
High School graduation
will be July 14 at 6:00 pm at Bent Tree Country Club, 5201 Westgrove
Drive, Dallas, TX 75248. There will be a reception immediately
following the ceremony to honor our graduates and their families.
There will be no class
for high school students on July
14th.
Lower School
Awards Ceremony
The lower school awards
ceremony will be in the gym, July 16 at 10:00 am. We hope to see all
our families there!
Submerge Summer
Camp
Our second session
begins July 20 with kickball and a cook-out, and continues through
August with fun activities every Tuesday and Thursday. Submerge is open to all
students and sign up is available at the front
desk.
Middle &
High School Conferences
Forth quarter
conferences will begin July 6. Lower school parents received
achievement test results during our last conferences. Middle and
high school test results will be given to parents at the final
conferences. If you are unable to attend this conference, please ask
teachers to send results along with your student’s report cards. If
you have questions about any of the test results, contact Rosalind,
Becky or Julie. We will be happy to answer any questions you may
have.
Lock-in
Our next lower and
middle school lock-in will be July 9, beginning at 6:00 pm. Students should be picked up
at 8:00 am on Saturday morning. The fee is $65.00. Sign up at the
front desk.
Tuition and
Fees
Annual and Semester
tuition and fees for the 2010-11 school year were due on July 1. If
you have not paid these fees, please contact Heather or
John.
Past Due
Balances
All balances must be
current prior to receiving report cards.
Meet the
Teacher
Meet the teacher night
will be Wednesday, August 25 at 6:00 pm. Final class assignments,
middle school and high school schedules, school supply lists spirit
goods and information for high school uniforms will be distributed
at that time.
