Winter Weather Reminder
If we have inclement weather
and need to cancel classes, we will leave a message on our voice mail by
5:30am. There will also be a message on our website, www.vanguardprepschool.com.
Contracts For 2012-13
Contracts
for next year are in your student’s Wednesday folders. Please return your
contract, as soon as possible to reserve your place for next year. Don’t
hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. If your student is planning to transition to
another school, we would love to help you with that as well.
Scholarships
Scholarship
forms are available at the front desk. If you plan to apply for financial
assistance, remember that forms must be postmarked no later than April 18th.
The
Jenny Pate Memorial Scholarship
covers 100% tuition and is awarded to the student of a single parent. This
scholarship requires additional paperwork. Jeanie has these forms.

Dinner & Auction
Please
join us in celebrating the Monte Carlo,
the Art of the Deal Gala on March 31, 2012 at Bent Tree Country Club. This
event determines the amount of scholarship money that is available for the 2012-2013
school year. These funds have also provided some of the important equipment for
our classrooms. The evening will include a Silent Auction, an exciting Live
Auction, a Casino, and wonderful food.
Invitations will be mailed on February 15 with RSVPs due on March
23. Please join us and support our
students!

& R Beach Trip
Information
on the annual middle and high school beach trip went out earlier this month. Deposits
for the trip are due by March 1st. This is a great opportunity for
students to socialize with their peers and enjoy the fresh air!
Lost and Found
Please
check the lost and found for any items you are missing. Items left in the lost
and found after Friday, February 3rd will be donated to Goodwill.

High School Businesses
Our
High School Businesses, The Cookie Shack, The Deli Shop, The School Store, Car
Wash and The Mexi Salsa group are doing a fabulous job. Order forms for salsa,
cookies, and car washes go out on a weekly basis. The Deli shop does lunches
for the teachers on Tuesdays and Thursdays, if you are at the school
volunteering please feel free to pick up a lunch form so that you can try some
of their delicious food! After School Lock-IN
