Individualized For Each
Child
The curriculum in the lower school program provides
individualized focus and attention. A student is able to move ahead
in his or her areas of strength and is given additional time to master
concepts that are more challenging.
The daily schedule includes individual and small
group instruction in language development, written expression, reading and
mathematics. Science, social studies, art, music and physical
education are taught in small groups.
The ability to attend and complete tasks, interactive
play, and Resolve conflict are important components of the
curriculum. Social skills are stressed throughout the daily
routine.
Students attend two therapy groups weekly.
Students are taught to show respect for others and to
learn new, effective methods of problem solving.
