The admissions process
begins by scheduling a meeting with the Admissions Director. The purpose
of the meeting is to obtain a developmental history of the prospective
student, determine strengths, weaknesses and current needs. During this
time, the Admissions Director and staff will describe aspects of
Vanguard’s program, provide a tour of the school and answer any questions
the parent or guardian may have. If Vanguard appears to be a good fit for
the prospective student, a visit with the child is scheduled.
After the visit by the
prospective student, the treatment team (director, teachers and
therapists) meet to determine if the child’s needs can be met by Vanguard.
This determination is communicated to the parents or guardians, usually
within 1-2 days. |
